Image Resizer
Resize any JPG, PNG or WebP by exact pixels, by percentage, or with a ready-made size for social profiles and documents. Lock the aspect ratio so nothing stretches — and your image never leaves your device.
How to resize an image
Select or drop an image, then choose how you want to resize it: type exact width and height in pixels, pick a percentage to scale up or down, or choose a ready-made preset such as a Facebook profile picture or passport photo. Keep the lock on to preserve the aspect ratio so the picture doesn't stretch, then download. Everything runs on your device — your image is never uploaded.
Resize by pixels, percentage or preset
Use pixels when a site or form asks for an exact size, percentage to quickly halve or double a photo while keeping its proportions, and presets when you need the right dimensions for a specific platform — Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube thumbnails or ID photos — without memorising the numbers.
Frequently asked questions
How do I resize an image without losing quality?
Reducing size keeps quality high. When exporting to JPEG or WebP, keep quality near 90%. Enlarging beyond the original dimensions will always soften detail, since there's no extra information to add.
How do I resize an image to exact dimensions?
Choose the Pixels mode, turn the aspect lock off if you need an exact non-proportional size, type your width and height, and download.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Resizing happens entirely in your browser. Unlike most resizers, nothing is sent to a server, which is faster and more private.
What's the difference between resizing and compressing?
Resizing changes the pixel dimensions (width and height); compressing reduces file size at the same dimensions. For a target file size, use our Image Compressor instead.
Which formats are supported?
JPG, PNG and WebP for both input and output. You can also convert between them while resizing by choosing a different output format.
